The institute is housed in 12 buildings with high energy autonomy and hosts a modern and complex research infrastructure, accommodating 30 research centers in both established and emerging fields with high potential for innovation.

Through its research projects, Transilvania University of Brasov aims to be a strategic partner for companies and a center of excellence in national and international academic collaboration.

3. International Mobilities

We have partnerships with universities from over 80 countries around the world. Every year, hundreds of students from Transilvania University of Brasov have an academic experience abroad, either for a semester or even for a whole year. Additionally, hundreds of international students from our partner universities come to our programs annually, especially those conducted in English, such as Business Administration, Product Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, American Studies, and Automotive Engineering, or in German, such as Applied Computer Science.

The intensive Romanian language program offered to those studying in foreign languages or participating in temporary mobilities allows them to integrate linguistically and culturally into the Romanian environment.

By completing our Romanian language program as a foreign language, international students gain access to all study programs offered by the University in Romanian.

4. UNITBV supports excellence!

The University has designed reward and support programs for students, researchers, and professors with the aim of stimulating excellence in research and teaching activities.

Students with outstanding academic achievements and those actively involved in community life receive scholarships and material benefits from the University – the "Excellence Scholarship of Transilvania University of Brasov," worth 2500 lei, and the "Student Internship Campus Scholarship."

The valedictorians of high schools who become our students are also recognized and rewarded, as well as the valedictorians of our undergraduate programs. Additionally, high-achieving students facing financial difficulties receive support and encouragement.

The "Transilvania Academica Scholarship" is awarded to international students from non-EU third countries who have exceptional results in one of the study fields at UNITBV and wish to become our students. This scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides a subsistence allowance equivalent to a social scholarship.

Through internal competitions, financial support is offered to researchers and university professors for international internships and the implementation of their scientific projects. Their research results are also rewarded. Doctoral students benefit from externally funded research internships provided by the university. Professors designated by graduates as those who positively influenced their years of study receive significant salary increases as a reward.

To promote inter-university dialogue, a recently initiated program by the University encourages visits from prestigious professors from both within the country and abroad. These professors deliver lectures and conferences to our students.
